Realme 2 has been launched on 28th August at an event in New Delhi. Oppo’s sub-brand Realme launched its first smartphone Realme 1 back in May earlier this year and gained huge popularity and sales in India. With the massive success of Realme 1, the company has released its second smartphone into the market named Realme 2.
Realme 2 starts from ₹8,990 and goes upto ₹10,990 for its top model. In ₹8,990 model, you get 3GB RAM + 32GB Storage and in ₹10,990 model you get 4GB+64GB storage. Realme 2 is the successor of Realme 1. But with Realme 2 powered by a weaker processor than its predecessor, we are not sure we can call it a true “successor”.
Realme 2 specifications are as follows :-
Storage & Colours :-
Two options are available for storage, one is 3GB+32GB and other one is 4GB+64Gb model. This phone is available in two unique colours, Diamond Red and Diamond Black. Apart from the internal storage, it also features expandable memory upto 256GB.
SIM Slot :-
There are two SIM Slots available in which you can use two SIM cards at once freely. The SIM Slots are Dual 4G LTE.
The screen is measured at 6.2inch HD+ (720×1520 pixels) with 19:9 screen ratio and it is an IPS LCD display. The main highlighting feature of the display is the notch, which is the selling factor of this phone.
This smartphone is powered by the Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 Soc with Adreno 506 GPU with which you can chat, browse apps and do light multitasking. You may face problems while multitasking a lot of apps at once due to its weak processor. It also has a Face Unlock and a Fingerprint sensor.
Camera has been greatly improved over the predecessor. It now features a dual-camera setup with a 13-megapixel primary camera sensor and 2-megapixel secondary camera sensor. The front camera features a 8-megapixel camera with fixed focus which ensures your selfies are as beautiful as you are.
It features a huge 4230mAH battery powered by AI Power Master which ensures to suspend apps when inactive for a long time, thus saving more battery.
It has many sensors such as proximity sensor, accelerometer, ambient light sensor, face unlock sensor and rear-mounted fingerprint sensor as well. Along with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, it also features a 3.5mm headphone jack.
It will be available via Flipkart on September 4 and will be available in two variants and in two different colours. A third colour, Diamond Black will be available early October for sale.
This phone directly competes with Redmi Note 5, Mi A2 and Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1.
